NTPC West Bengal: NTPC Rammam organizes two-day Workshop on Mushroom Cultivation and Vermi-Compostin

 

NTPC Rammam, under the Community Development Scheme of its R&R department organized a 2-day workshop on Organic Farming and Mushroom Cultivation for Project Affected People in the villages of Takbia and Sajbotey, Darjeeling (W.B).
A total of 50 participants from the villages attended the workshop. The workshop was organized with the support from Department of Horticulture, Kalimpong (W.B).
During the course of the training programme, spawns, a tool that assists in the cultivation of mushrooms, were also distributed amongst the participants.
The two-day workshop was conducted with the support of Satish Upadhyay, ED and BUH (NTPC Rammam Hydro Power Project). It also reiterates the mission of NTPC Rammam, which is to contribute immensely towards the development of the surrounding areas and the lives of the project affected people
