Municipal Commissioner Reviews Departmental Works at Morwa Sub-Office
Grand Welcome Gate to Come Up at Madhya Pradesh–Uttar Pradesh Border, Instructions Issued for Better Civic Facilities and Development Works
Singrauli: Municipal Commissioner Smt. Savita Pradhan on Wednesday visited the Morwa Sub-Office of Singrauli Municipal Corporation and conducted a detailed review of departmental activities, public facilities, and ongoing development projects. During the review meeting, the Commissioner discussed various issues including drinking water supply, cleanliness arrangements, office management, fire services, traffic management, and encroachment control. She directed officials to ensure that all works are completed within the stipulated time frame with proper quality standards. The Commissioner also interacted with local councillors and discussed development-related issues and public welfare works in the Morwa area.
Grand Welcome Gate to be Constructed on MP-UP Border
During the meeting, the Commissioner directed officials to prepare a proposal for the construction of an attractive and grand welcome gate on the Madhya Pradesh–Uttar Pradesh border to strengthen the identity of Singrauli Municipal Corporation. She instructed that the welcome gate should be constructed on the main route with the message “Madhya Pradesh Municipal Corporation Welcomes You” displayed prominently. Officials have been directed to prepare the estimated cost and submit the proposal at the earliest.
Focus on Public Services and Office Facilities
While inspecting the Morwa Sub-Office, the Commissioner directed officials to ensure the availability of essential infrastructure, including furniture, tables, chairs, and other basic facilities. She emphasized that citizens visiting the office should receive better services and their complaints should be resolved promptly. Reviewing the drinking water arrangements, she instructed officials to ensure regular and adequate water supply to all residents of the area.
Cleanliness and Emergency Services Reviewed
The Commissioner reviewed the sanitation system and directed officials to make door-to-door garbage collection more effective, ensure timely completion of waste management activities, and maintain adequate availability of vehicles. She also informed that a dead body transportation vehicle (hearse) would soon be made available for the Morwa area. Instructions were issued for immediate repair of the fire tender vehicle, which was currently non-operational due to maintenance issues, and to resume its services at the earliest.
Action Against Encroachment and Traffic Issues
The meeting also discussed improving traffic management and making public places free from illegal encroachments. The Commissioner instructed officials to take effective action against unauthorized encroachments, issue notices to concerned persons, and proceed with further action as per rules. After the meeting, Commissioner Smt. Savita Pradhan interacted with citizens at the sub-office, listened to their grievances and suggestions, and directed officials to ensure quick resolution of all pending issues on priority.
The meeting was attended by Councillor Parmeshwar Patel, Councillor Shekhar Singh, Raj Bahadur Panika, Councillor Representative Sheelu Agrahari, Deputy Commissioner R.P. Bais, Health Officer B.G. Chaturvedi, Assistant Engineer Praveen Goswami, along with other officials and employees of the Municipal Corporation.
